This region is made up of 15 local authorities with several cities, areas of high population in West & South Yorkshire as well as vast rural areas in North Yorkshire.

All local authorities have named representatives of workforce in Adults & Children’s services and has 3 national committee members – Linda Hardy (Regional chair) Tracey Cooper (vice chair) and Trevor Hewitt (secretary and Treasurer).

The region has strong links with ADASS regional workforce programme Board, Skills for Care, Regional Children’s Workforce Leads group, Local Government Yorkshire & Humber and our LETB
An annual membership fee of £300 pays for venues, refreshments, external speakers, discount attendance at Learn to Care events.

The group meets 5 times a year with a summer meeting in the beautiful seaside resort town of Scarborough. The meetings enable the group to communicate key messages and developments, to share best practice, support each other and are attended by a representative from Skills for Care.
