SlimKing Wagering Rules: How the 10x Requirement Works

Wagering decides whether a bonus is worth claiming. Here is exactly how SlimKing's 10x requirement works for UK players, with worked examples in pounds and the rules that can void a bonus.

A bonus is only as good as the rules attached to it. At SlimKing the headline number is simple — every casino bonus uses 10x wagering, the maximum the UK Gambling Commission has allowed since 19 January 2026 — but contribution rates, stake caps and time limits all affect how easy a bonus is to clear. This guide breaks down each rule with worked examples in pounds so you know exactly what you are signing up for.

For the offers themselves, see our SlimKing promotions guide.

What “wagering” actually means

Wagering (sometimes called playthrough) is the total amount you need to stake before bonus funds turn into withdrawable cash. It is not money you have to lose — it is the turnover of your bets. A £10 spin counts as £10 of wagering whether it wins or loses.

At SlimKing, wagering on the welcome bonus is calculated on the bonus amount only. Your deposit is never multiplied, which keeps the target lower than on “deposit + bonus” offers found elsewhere.

The 10x cap in worked examples

Here is how the welcome bonus — 200% up to £3,000 — works out at different deposit sizes:

You depositBonus creditedWagering needed (10x bonus)Total balance to play with
£20£40£400£60
£50£100£1,000£150
£100£200£2,000£300
£500£1,000£10,000£1,500
£1,500£3,000 (maximum)£30,000£4,500

Example: you deposit £100 with a debit card and opt in. SlimKing adds a £200 bonus. You must stake £2,000 on eligible games within 30 days. At £1 a spin on a slot that contributes 100%, that is 2,000 spins. At the maximum £5 a spin, it is 400 spins.

The same 10x rule applies to the Crown Wallet Boost (25% up to £100) and to winnings from Sparring Spins.

Game contribution: where your stakes count

Not every game counts equally towards wagering. SlimKing uses these contribution rates for the welcome bonus:

Game typeContribution£10 stake counts asExamples
Slots100%£10Le Bandit, Book of Ra Deluxe, Bankin’ More Bacon
Game shows20%£2Plinko, Duck Racing, Triton Multiplier Roulette
Live casino10%£1Speed Baccarat, Blackjack VIP, Auto Roulette
Table games10%£1Caribbean Poker, Oasis Poker
Jackpot slots0% (excluded)£0Daily-drop and progressive jackpot slots

In practice, clearing £2,000 of wagering on live casino alone would take £20,000 in stakes. If you mainly play live tables, the wager-free Corner Cashback is usually a better fit than the welcome bonus. Explore the eligible titles in our slots guide.

Maximum stake: £5 per spin (£2 if you are 18–24)

While a bonus is active, the maximum stake is £5 per spin, or £2 per spin for players aged 18–24. These match the UK’s statutory online slot stake limits, so they apply to all slot play, not only bonus play. Going over the limit with bonus funds can void the bonus and any winnings from it, although SlimKing’s games normally block stakes above your limit automatically.

The 30-day window

You have 30 days from the moment the welcome bonus is credited to complete wagering. Any bonus balance left after that is removed, along with winnings still locked to it. Other offers are shorter: the Crown Wallet Boost runs for 7 days and Sparring Spins winnings for 3 days. Your wagering progress is shown in the bonus section of your account.

Free-spin winnings and maximum conversion

The 200 welcome free spins on Book of Ra Deluxe are worth 10p each — £20 in total value — and arrive 20 per day for 10 days. Anything you win from them is credited as bonus money with its own 10x wagering requirement.

The maximum conversion is £100: once the free-spin winnings are wagered, up to £100 becomes withdrawable cash and anything above that is removed. For example, if your spins return £35, you need to wager £350; once done, the £35 is yours to withdraw.

Order of balances: cash is used first

SlimKing keeps your cash and bonus balances separate and always uses your cash balance first. Bonus funds only come into play once your real money runs out. This matters because:

  • If you win early with your deposit, that win is real cash and you can withdraw it (forfeiting the bonus) without having touched the bonus funds.
  • Stakes made with your cash still count towards wagering on eligible games.
  • Your balance screen shows exactly how much is cash and how much is bonus at any time.

What voids a SlimKing bonus

Common reasons a bonus is removed:

  1. Exceeding the stake limit — betting over £5 per spin (£2 if 18–24) with an active bonus.
  2. Depositing with Skrill or Neteller — these deposits are not eligible for the welcome bonus.
  3. More than one account — one welcome bonus per person, household and device; duplicates are closed.
  4. Requesting a withdrawal before wagering is complete — the bonus and its winnings are forfeited.
  5. Running out of time — unfinished wagering after 30 days.
  6. Irregular play — patterns SlimKing’s terms classify as bonus abuse.

Cancelling a bonus

You can cancel an active bonus at any time before wagering is complete, from the bonus section of your account or via live chat. When you cancel, the bonus and any bonus winnings are removed, but your cash balance stays. This is useful if you land a good win with your own money and simply want to withdraw. Our payments guide explains withdrawal times once you are ready.

Why bonus buys are banned for UK players

In some markets, slots offer a “bonus buy” button that lets you pay a large lump sum — often many times your stake — to jump straight into the bonus round. The UK Gambling Commission banned this feature for players in Great Britain because it dramatically increases spending speed and the cost of each decision. On a UK account at SlimKing, Hacksaw Gaming and other studios’ slots load without the buy option, and bonus rounds are triggered only by normal spins.

Tips for clearing wagering sensibly

  • Size the bonus to your budget. A £3,000 bonus means £30,000 of wagering — only claim what you would comfortably deposit anyway.
  • Stick to 100% games. Slots clear wagering ten times faster than live tables.
  • Check RTP. Each game’s info panel shows its return to player; typical slots sit between 94% and 97%.
  • Track progress in your account rather than guessing.
  • Set limits first. Deposit limits, loss limits and reality checks are all in your account settings.

🛡️ Wagering is not a target to chase

If you notice yourself depositing more to finish wagering, stop and cancel the bonus — your cash stays safe. Free, confidential help is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, and more tools are listed on our responsible gambling page.

Questions UK players ask

What is the wagering requirement on the SlimKing welcome bonus?

+

The SlimKing welcome bonus carries a 10x wagering requirement on the bonus amount only, not on your deposit. If you deposit £100 and receive a £200 bonus, you need to stake £2,000 on eligible games before the bonus and its winnings become withdrawable cash. You have 30 days to complete it. Free-spin winnings have their own 10x requirement and convert to a maximum of £100.

Can I withdraw from SlimKing before finishing wagering?

+

You can withdraw your cash balance, but any active bonus and the winnings generated from it will be forfeited if wagering is not complete. Because SlimKing uses your cash balance first, you can often withdraw a real-money win before bonus funds come into play. Under UK rules, once you request a withdrawal it cannot be reversed back into your balance to keep playing, so decide before you press the button.

Do live casino games count towards SlimKing wagering?

+

Yes, but at a reduced rate. Live casino and table games contribute 10%, so £10 staked at Speed Baccarat or Blackjack VIP counts as £1 towards your wagering. Game shows such as Plinko contribute 20%. Slots count 100%, which is why most players clear bonuses on slots. Jackpot slots are excluded completely and contribute nothing towards the welcome bonus.

Can I use SlimKing casino bonus funds on the sportsbook?

+

No. Casino bonus funds, including the welcome bonus and the Crown Wallet Boost, can only be used on eligible casino games and cannot be placed on sports bets. Likewise, sportsbook free bets from the Bet £10 Get £30 offer cannot be used in the casino. Your cash balance is shared across both products, so real money can be used anywhere, but each bonus stays in its own section.
